How to Start Practising Yoga
Practising yoga can do wonders for your life, especially if you pair it with meditation and a plant-based diet. Anyone, of any age, size or shape can practise and benefit from yoga. Getting started can be intimidating when it's brand new territory. Do these three things and you're on the right track to having a healthy practise:
Start slow - Learn the fundamentals first, master those then challenge yourself with a more intense practise.
Do your research - There are a lot of yoga schools popping up on their own and within gyms. Check out your instructor before you go to a class. Read a bit about what yoga looks like when it's practiced correctly.
Have fun - When we are passionate about fitness, we can push ourselves too hard and do damage to our bodies. Don't be hard on yourself if you don't get it at first, enjoy every stage of your learning and practise.
