5 Ways To Stay Motivated When Transitioning to A Plant-based Lifestyle

Starting isn't hard. Anyone can be vegan for a day. But, to make the plant-based diet a lifestyle, you must have solid goals and reasonable expectations. They key is giving yourself a break if you relapse and remind yourself why you made the choice to make the shift. You did it for love - self love. Try these 5 motivation inducing tactics I use every day to stay on track:

1. Stay educated and aware

I watch a lot of videos and I'm always doing research on how our food realities came to be and what it should really look like for optimal health. It's a great way to stay reminded of why I stopped eating toxic products.

2. Stay Inspired

Discover what the ideal body is to you and keep a picture of that inspiring person somewhere that's easily accessible. I do this for myself and my clients. One of my inspirations is vegan body builder Frank Medrano, I watch this workout video for inspiration.

3. Stay creative

I am constantly on the hunt for new plant-based recipes - cooked and raw. Learning new ways to approach food prep while exploring new ingredients is the creative side of going vegan

4. Stay fit

Exercise and nutrition go hand in hand. When you workout you feel good. You'll want to fuel your body with the right food to support your hard work in the gym.

5. Stay zen

Mediation is practiced by the most successful people. When you meditate you're taking over control of the mind and body. You'll stop doing things like emotional and stress eating.
