A gang leader's henchman, the long lost son, the corrupt rookie officer, or the man who fell in love with a ghost. No matter what the role, Chris M. Hutchinson brings his brand of raw, animated play to the stage or screen. His love of complex characters is rooted in his commitment to studying human behavior.
Chris got his acting start with Jamaican theatre company Jambiz International in 2004. He toured with the company across the Caribbean, in South Florida, New York City, and the Greater Toronto Area until 2009 playing lead and supporting roles in 9 productions.
He went on to star in commercial projects for Heinekin, LIME Jamaica and Red Stripe before making his television debut in eMedia Interactive Ltd. buddy cop series Squaddy. The series streamed on eMedia's SVOD platform iVu tv and aired on Columbus Communications' FLOW tv, earning top 6 spot on the network for the 2013-14 season.
Chris' film resume includes Chris Browne's 2011 feature Ghett'a Life, New Caribbean Cinema's 2012 film project Ring Di Alarm, Jeremy Whittaker's 2014 feature film Destiny and his role as JD Wales in Allen J. Redwing's 2015 short film Punkin Pie.
In 2018 he co-directed and played a supporting role in the play Head Girl written by Paul O. Beale.
